Short bio: Serbian mathematician and physicist who studied at the Swiss Federal Polytechnic in Zurich, one of the first women in Europe to pursue advanced studies in physics and mathematics. Her intellectual partnership with Albert Einstein and her possible contributions to his early work remain subjects of historical discussion.

Why notable: She represents the challenges faced by women seeking scientific careers in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Despite her talent and dedication, she encountered significant barriers to academic recognition.
