Promoting a culture of respect and equality at IRI
The IRI Gender Equality Committee was established at the end of 2020 with the commitment to promote a culture of respect an equality, raising awareness about the discrimination and inequalities that still persist in the scientific and technological fields. In this regard, we also aim to highlight female role models in STEM and encourage the integration of a gender perspective in research.
On this path, we collaborate with the UPC Equality Office and the CSIC Equality Network in Barcelona.
Our main objectives include supporting individuals facing situations of discrimination or harassment, developing and implementing the IRI Equality Plan in alignment with those of CSIC and UPC, promoting training on gender equality applied to research, and continuously monitoring equality indicators to ensure real progress.
Throughout the year, we organize and promote various actions and activities, such as workshops, training sessions, awareness campaigns, among others.
We invite you to be part of this space for transformation and to actively contribute to building a fairer, more equitable, and inclusive scientific community!
